Providence Utah Info
Providence is located in Northern Utah, 2 1/2 miles south of Logan on state highway 238. Its current population is over 4,000 and growing. Situated immediately east of the confluence of Spring Creek with the Logan River, the town lies astride a delta at the mouth of Providence Canyon and beneath 9,000-foot Big Baldy Mountain.
Starting with its first subdivision in 1962, Providence changed at an rapid pace from a farming community into a "bedroom" suburb of Logan, attracting many baby boomers to buy and build. Farming fields began to give way to developer tracts of individually owned, single-family houses. This has transformed Providence into a very unique community where the homeowners have created a family atmosphere in everything they do. In the Cache Valley, Providence stands out in promoting development, both commercial and residential, enhancing values in living standards.
